I don't think this is right, especially as people even buy passes and use them to get those extra tickets. What you win is yours, especially after probably investing real money, is my opinion. I never thought it is the right way to cut wins like this but for the lottery it is just

The Magic Hat had that when it was first brought out and no one complained. That gives you 3 months, 3 months to find a horse that could use that item. The packs, the stone, and the arms should go quickly (and besides, even if you can't exchange the items themselves, you could put them on a horse and then sell it for a greater value) and well, there's sure to be some promo needing HOPs within the next 3 months, or some sort of Divine in them. Lottery prizes are still prizes, no matter if there is a time limit to use them. And this time limit *is* very generous...

I am not quite sure if someone has posted this already, but there is new information regarding passes.
Click to display This is an official announcement on the French server, which will try out this new and improved method of the old, old way of purchasing passes with equus. If everything goes well with the implementation, then players on the int'l server and all others will be allowed to purchase 1 pass for no more than 20% of their reserve every 30 days by logging into the game and doing certain - they say easy - tasks to earn points, up to 100. If you do all the tasks each day on the game, then you will be able to gain a pass every 30 days seniority maximum. They have NOT announced what the tasks are yet, but after a player's gauge/bar reaches 100% the player will play a mini-game in order to be able to purchase the pass. A mini-game example would be the one where you had to braid a horses' tail, if I remember correctly. If the player loses the mini-game, they will be given another. There will be many different ones. 1 pass every 30 days is the max. amount anyone can purchase with their equus (like it is now after one's 50th day), and if someone doesn't do certain actions for a day or two, eg; doesn't connect, then the gauge will stay frozen until they log in again and do another task. Likewise, if you miss a day and the max. points to earn each day is hypothetically 10, then you cannot earn more than 10 points to make up for the lost day. This function will be available after a players' 30th day of seniority. It will replace the "pass every 30 days after 50 days seniority" method we have now. The team has still not decided if co-management will be allowed to do tasks or not. ~ Honor |

But well, I have never been a friend of time bound wins, and always tried not to win them, means I'm not bothered with such a thing, and especially not bothered to invest into it. It is my personal opinion, surely. And I am not talking about privileges, they are different in some ways. But in general, BM items won in an event like the lottery shouldn't be bound in any way but completely free to use for the winner as they see fit. I like to decide myself when and if I use BMI and not get the decision taken away and maybe have to put a stone onto a horse that wouldn't have got it without the limitation. Or worse, like it happenend to me, completely forget about them and lose them. Pretty sure people are happy with how things will be and not complain. But I am not and just wanted to explain why.  On the bright side: Nothing to invest for me into the coming promo/lottery as I'm not interested in winning any time bound BMI.

(That is not sarcastic I promise-) I just mean that it could have been a much shorter time-frame (some BMIs won from TCs have like a week for them to be used) so it's not too too terrible and limiting as it possibly could have been~

More of my silly questions what's PrePod I'm guessing something related to the VIP account? Kind of? PreProd is a testing site. It's basically a copy of Howrse where we get lots of money and passes and are able to test upcoming promotions and features to make sure there aren't any bugs and, for features especially, that people will actually like them. VIPs get I think 250 spots reserved and it's on a first come first serve basis. If you have VIP account, there's a banner that you have to click on the homepage once PreProd actually opens to reserve your spot. But some non-VIPs also have a chance to go on there - you'll get a PM from Ow if you're selected~ Right now, for example, we're testing the next promo and Divine, Click to display the Great Challenge/Lottery and the Zodiac Divine Aquarius.

I have a tendency to sit on the top BM items for awhile (like Hera Pack's, Stones and Arms) because I don't always breed really good horses, and I don't like to waste them on lower skilled/GP horses. When the right breeding project idea comes around I'm glad I have them on hand. That, and I like to hoard stuff

So I just finished the 1st maze. What one should I go in now? I'm not using passes, but is there one that I have a chance of getting a worthwhile BMI or somethin? (Even if no one has any suggestions on which one I should go in next, can someone at least direct me to the maps for the other 3 mazes?) Thanks

Would someone please tell me when the maze will end and the next promotion will start? Well you can see which date the maze ends on the little banner on top. The next event could start anytime after that, but they usually start on Thursdays now.
