What do y'all think of the new Thoroughbred coat?

It's not actually too bad. I don't see what everyone is complaining about. I found if I looked at the coats several times, I was actually very happy with them.

(I don't breed TBs, so I wouldn't have minded either way)

Desert gold, one of my tbs is cremello, so her muzzle look like it has been bleeding.default smiley :p
I would've prefered longer manes but the new coats are actually nice.

I really hope they don't change the shetlands...I think they are adorable the way they are now.... I'm a bit on the fence with the new looks....

So excited watching the new coats coming through! I was nervous about the thoroughbred one but it looks pretty good to me, no more ribs!
The new quarter horse coat looks amazing so I hope it's true and the one for Quarter ponies/connemara is so cute, even if it doesn't suit a connemara!

Meh, i did prefer the other tb coat I think, I mean its not hideous or anything but the face does look a little funny, as for the ribs or no ribs I've heard that a real TB you should see some rib or they are overweight. Again its what i've heard so the other would be a little more true to standered but ... meh.

I'm glad I went through and saved all the horse breed graphics, just to 'have' so to speak.
I don't know, the bodies of the new TBs look a bit too... bulky. They don't seem lean enough to truly represent a TB.

I just REALLY hope they work on the Friesians neck/mane before they release it. As posted on the last page its nice to see that they did actually do some revisions on the American breeds after what would seem some feedback! o please please horse make the Friesians Darker and fix the crest of the neck and mane. it looks like a ill-fitting wig.
I love the new TB, atleast it doesn't look anorexic anymore! And the PBSH and KWPNS etc look amazing!!

Can someone send me a link to the new GV? I'm a solely GV breeder and would like to know what my horses will look like in the future.
The TBs aren't as bad as I'd originally thought, now I've seen it in different colours. From all the ones I'e seen so far, the bays are definitely the worst colours, I wonder why people chose that as the colour to post in the spoiler topic?

Oh gosh, they don't look half bad. They look more life-like but I'm not sure I like them as much as the old ones.
Some of the new coats do have long, beautiful manes! That's good to see. I'm going to miss the wavy mane on the current Gypsy Vanner, but I am pleased to see that new version does not have a cropped one.

Does some one have pictures of alle the coats of the knabstrupper and the appaloosa? default smiley :)default smiley 8-)
Hmmm... after looking at what my Origins Challenge horses will look like, I'm hoping to get a Palomino one default smiley xd. It looks nicer in solid colour over the Palomino Overo and Palomino Tobiano horses that I currently have will look like. default smiley (lol)

I still wish we were allowed to chose what coats me preferred, i know some of the older ones have been less realistic but i do like them that way.

Some of them aren't bad though !!! I just hope Standardbreds & Shetlands won;t change !

I guess I can live with the thoroughbreds but there is that one 'vein' on the nose bridge that looks a little off....a little thinner would be nice but I guess it is ok over all
By Retired breeder, 29th March 2014 10:17:27
Does anyone have a clue on the new Trakehner coat? I haven't seen anything on that one yet.
By Retired breeder, 29th March 2014 10:30:29
@parkerpark331

I don't think the tb coats are too bulky at all, I've ridden thoroughbreds my whole life and once they've stopped racing they can build up a lot of muscle. htese new coats are much more realistic
